ASBO Van Drives Bid to Stamp Out Anti-Social Behaviour

Most people have been a victim of anti-social behaviour - and some of Scotland ’s toughest areas have been visited by an ‘ASBO van’ in a unique bid to target the problem.

The campaign was a joint venture between Strathclyde Police and Renfrewshire Council, with the help of Totally Dynamic’s vehicle wrapping centre in Central Scotland .

The brightly coloured Peugeot Boxer was stamped with the uncompromising message that anti-social behaviour is unacceptable.

Adam Sharpe, owner of Totally Dynamic’s Cumbernauld centre, who created the brightly coloured wrap, said: “What makes this message all the more powerful is its simplicity:

“It’s a strong look and the colour is powerful. You can’t help but be drawn to what’s written on the side. The message hits home and the design attracts attention.”

The van also features Totally Dynamic’s perforated window film technology, which Adam says, provides one-way vision on its windows. “Inside gets a view of outside, but not vice-versa.”

He added: “I’m told the campaign went well. In the past, the van used to tour schools and other sites was pretty anonymous. It simply used the telephone number you might need to get information, which was hardly visible at all.

“But when you add the words ‘Stamp out anti-social behaviour in Renfrewshire’ across a bright purple background, it gets noticed.”
